Mentality Studies

Brain scan × inverted world map × one “-mentality” word. A graphic/text series about how private cognition borrows public maps: tools, experiments, institutions, weather, memory, scale.

Source image

Your supplied composite already has the right tension: medical interior + upside-down geopolitical exterior. It feels like a private atlas being projected onto the world.

The production rule: keep the source visible, add one strong conceptual word, one short aphoristic sentence, and restrained map/measurement marks.

Format

One source-layered graphic, one title word, four metadata terms, one sentence.

Image rule

MRI stays as the body layer. The map stays inverted. Color and grid language change per mentality.

Text rule

Each sentence should feel like a note from a field atlas, not a motivational poster.

Site rule

Every plate becomes a library item tagged by concept, source, palette, and collection.
